Nadine Antenen joins the SPUR team

Nadine Antenen joins the SPUR team and its Humanitarian Planning Hub as a researcher in the project "Flood Risk Mitigation for Humanitarian Settlements".

In the applied research project "Flood Risk Mitigation for Humanitarian Settlements" Nadine Antenen supports the work on a Flood Risk Mitigation Toolbox for strategic planning to mitigate flood risks in humanitarian settlements worldwide. The project is a collaboration between the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, the Swiss Federal Department for Development Cooperation, SDC, ETH Zurich, through the Geneva Technical Hub, GTH.

Nadine Antenen is an environmental engineer with an MSc in Natural Resource Management and currently completing the MAS ETH International Development Cooperation at NADEL. Before joining ETH, she gained a wide range of experience in the field of Ecological Engineering with Focus on Water. Nature-​based water treatment solutions to close water and nutrient cycles, microbial ecology, ecological impacts of hydropower and flood plain restoration were some of the topics she worked on at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences as well as in the private sector for a start-​up and her own social enterprise.
